I'm Erin Pfeifer-Andrin, LCSW, and the time is now to evolve into the person you want to be! There are no coincidences; you are meant to be here! Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with what I can offer you and click Book Now at the top when you are ready to schedule.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience with older adolescents, adults, and older adults in the treatment of mental/emotional health, co-occurring disorders, and personality disorders. I graduated cum laude from SUNY Stony Brook with a Bacherlor's degree in Psychology and Minors in Women's Studies and Dance. I was a member of Psi Chi, International Honor Society in Psychology, as well as Phi Beta Kappa. I went on to graduate from Columbia University School of Social Work with a Master's of Science in Social Work and a specialization in the clinical treatment of health, mental health, and disabilities. While there, I received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I completed post-graduate training at Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I have taken continuing education courses on PTSD (notably with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and Emotion Freedom Technique.
My focus is to help individuals and couples heal, energize, become aware of their inner strengths, and grow. This is achieved by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. I will work with you using techniques from CBT, DBT, EFT, MI, and solution-focused psychotherapy while incorporating spirituality (if desired).
I promise to help guide you on your journey to improving your life. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through our collaborative work, we will help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with the couple and are a supportive place to discuss issues and find solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
